Second Life continues to grow thanks to its Residents, and this monument recognizes the early "beta pioneers" who helped make the baby steps possible and pushed SL into the public eye (in hand — get it?). "The Man" statue is one of the only surviving objects from the original "Linden Town" area that was developed in Second Life during the earliest Alpha stage of its development back in 2002. At times, The Man has served as a shrine where miscellaneous offerings were left, and a celebration of the creativity SL was founded upon.

Before Linden Homes, there was Boardman, an early experiment of a themed community in a gentle suburban style. Don't be surprised that the zoning guidelines date back to January 2003, and should you run across any of the locals, they're mighty friendly, so ask if they'll share their stories.
This island has seen many significant events, from its time as a welcoming spot for teen Residents "graduating" to adulthood to the hills used in Linden Lab ad promos for the then-new WindLight graphics. An abandoned library-turned-coffee shop is at the heart of it all, reminding us of how virtual connections can transform into real-life friendships.

The Hannington Arts Foundation at Xeltentat Enterprises features Second Life artists at their Memory Gongs collaborative galleries. It's three galleries built together, each with their distinctive style, to show Second Life pictures, First Life pictures, and Erotic pictures. It's a collaborative effort that features photographs from Sweet Susanowa, Violaine, and Therese Carfagno. The pictures are for sale at different prices. The galleries are built to be walker-friendly, and in between, there are places to sit down and relax.

The home of the LG Tower and the Airship Limoncello - both part of the Limoncello Art Gallery - is on the private island of Nyunanga. There are over 500 artworks in a private collection begun in 2007 and still being added to. The airship can be accessed from the roof of the tower. The Free Museum contains over 70 works by some of the best artists in Second Life, and visitors are invited to take a free copy of every work exhibited. Onceagain Art Gallery is a gallery that specializes in women artists and on a bimonthly basis exhibits their works. Nitroglobus Roof Gallery is a Second Life art gallery that has exhibitions and installations of both emerging and well-known artists. It is curated by Dido Haas. The current exhibit is 'Transcend Struggle' by Yann Gyro, a visual poem dedicated to women fighting cancer. MEROE Museum is the Home of Black and Aboriginal cultures in Second Life. Isme Fine Arts Galleries house the sensual real-life art of Lisisme Dubrovna and 7 more galleries featuring many others. Lisisme has shown in galleries all over SL and is one of the few in SL to show RL artwork that uses traditional media of sculpture and etching, lithograph, and pen and ink. 3D scans of her sculptures are mesh in SL.
Hypnotic Van Gogh is a new truly immersive experience. This show breaks barriers by incorporating both still and moving art. Masterpieces, now freed from frames, come alive, appear, and disappear, flow across multi surfaces, the minutia of details titillating our heightened senses. The show is projected on every surface around you, this makes you feel as though you have stepped directly into a Van Gogh painting. FOCUS Magazine and Art Galleries is a place to appreciate, be inspired by, and share photographic art in Second Life. A monthly magazine that celebrates photography in SL, each issue features two prominent SL photographers, art activists, and more. On the region there are three photo art galleries. The main Focus gallery houses the magazine's featured artist of the month. The Focus Artist in Residence Gallery exhibits up-and-coming artists.
