Maxi's Jazz & Blues is an elegant, classy club inspired by the '20s, 30s, and 40s era jazz clubs. Although elegant and classy the atmosphere is relaxed as is the dress code. The club has three bars on two levels and three dance areas. It has two themed lounges, the Melody Lounge and the Coconut Lounge. There is a wide range of music styles played throughout the week. The main venues are in an elegant penthouse overlooking midtown Manhattan where you find two stages and the Stardust Restaurant. An outdoor music venue is located in a romantic seaside park with an old mansion on the main level of the region, a somewhat fanciful recreation of West Egg and East Egg in the Great Gatsby.
Gion Kobu Hamachi is a Japanese Edo period role play region circa 1867. The region is run by the geisha of Karyukai Okiya, Second Life's first geisha community. They provide live entertainment in the form of Japanese ozashiki or banquets, dance shows, and traditional seasonal festivals. The region contains two tea houses, an indoor and outdoor theater, Shinto shrine, park lands, and an new art gallery.
