Gion Kobu Hamachi is a Japanese Edo period role play region circa 1867. The region is run by the geisha of Karyukai Okiya, Second Life's first geisha community. They provide live entertainment in the form of Japanese ozashiki or banquets, dance shows, and traditional seasonal festivals. The region contains two tea houses, an indoor and outdoor theater, Shinto shrine, park lands, and an new art gallery.
MeltingDots is a support center for Japanese beginners run entirely by volunteers. There are tutorial institutions, freebie shops, sightseeing guidance, sand boxes, salons and more. Or swing by for the pleasant events held on Saturday nights, with occasional prizes.
Hamster Bar is where hamster lovers gather. Once a year in August, they hold a festival called "Hamster Festival" focusing on hamsters. This festival is enjoyed not only by hamsters but also by many other people. It is crowded with many hamster fans and shopping malls with fun items. Visit for a fun-filled summer!
