Gion Kobu Hamachi is a Japanese Edo period role play region circa 1867. The region is run by the geisha of Karyukai Okiya, Second Life's first geisha community. They provide live entertainment in the form of Japanese ozashiki or banquets, dance shows, and traditional seasonal festivals. The region contains two tea houses, an indoor and outdoor theater, Shinto shrine, park lands, and an new art gallery.
